UMA technology might rock
UMA technologies will give you a fast and constant ip-connection through your dual-mode handset and a connection through bluetooth or wlan - mitght this be an alternative tech to umts? W-LAN has a speed of about 100mBit, and even bluetooth has about 433,9 kbit/s, and that´s a good speed in contrast to (theoretical) 2 MBit/s in UMTS.
