McDonalds - change the golden arches to a question mark

Well, the guardian reports that McDonalds wants to change its so well known symbol - and I think they are right. McDonalds needs a new beginning - at least in all first world countries. Many people are just set up of the bead food, and revenues in the UK fell within 70% last year. So what to do? The guardian says, they will change to a golden questionmark, and will use pictures of fruits and veggies in their commercials, combines with the slogan: "McDonalds-but not as you know it." They have to change - and they have the abillities to do so...

Capizzi - a nice italian-restaurant for having diner throughout the week

A new post in my favourite category: Eatn Drink. We´ve just been to "Capizzi", a very nice and small italian restaurant in the "Agnes-Viertel" in Cologne. You can sit in- or outside there, and with it´s sweet interior it has a very nice and familar atmosphere. Prices a very good: a pizza for 5-9 Eur, you´ll be served an antipasti from the house. They even have got my favourite "Kölsch: Reissdorf". The waiter was very polite, and served a digestif (grappa) for free. Unfortunately you can´t pay with VISA oder Maestro, but it get´s 6 out of 10 stars on my skala, because it´s just the best choice for having an uncomplicated very, very delicous italian-meal throughout the week.

L. Fritz, Hoppers, Cologne

Due to the fact that I love good food and nice amosphere, here is the new category "Eat`n Drink" and the first entry from the "L. Fritz in Hoppers Hotel in Cologne".
It´s a gastronomie inside the Hoppers Hotel St. Antonius, and has a very modern, but somehow "sacral" atmosphere: the nicest place might be the garden, in which a big statue of "St. Antonius" stands. The name "L. Fritz" comes from a very influencing photografer from the beginning of the twentieth century. The entries are very big - you might see them as a big snack. I had Bruscetta and calf-ragout as main meal which was fantastic. Though the food was very, very tasty they had enormous portions - hell, I had to eat some of my grilfriends Gnocchis, too, because it was too much for her. Staff was very friendly, and helped us with the wine. They accepted VISA for payment. All in all it was a very nice evening and it gets 7 out of 10 points on my "MCDonalds - RITZ" Skala ;-)
